Don’t Let a Small Leak Become a Big Problem

The plumbing in your home is vital to comfort and sanitation, but we tend to take it for granted until a significant problem occurs. Homeowners often dismiss simple plumbing problems like leaky faucets, clogged toilets, or pinhole pipe leaks as minor inconveniences. However, when these problems go unchecked for too long, they can snowball leading to more costly plumbing repairs.

Don’t ignore what you think maybe a minor pipe leak and risk catastrophic water damage in your home or business. We don’t want you to pour good money down the drain trying to fix a leak with DIY videos —  you need to hire a knowledgeable master plumber with experience, expertise, and the proper tools to fix it the right way. Call us today or request an appointment online!

Proper Plumbing Repair Can Protect the Value of Your Property

Proper maintenance can keep your plumbing functioning efficiently and increase the lifespan of pipes, appliances, and fixtures. This means addressing issues, no matter how small they seem, when they first occur. And even though you can tackle many simple plumbing projects yourself, a licensed plumber can help with bigger jobs or issues that recur or persist.

Leaky or Dripping Faucets

While constant dripping from a sink faucet can be extremely annoying, it can lead to more issues than a minor annoyance. One faucet can account for the use of hundreds of gallons of water each year, and that drip signals money down the drain every time you hear it. Faucet leaks may be caused by faulty installation, lack of maintenance, or simple wear and tear.

Dripping or leaky faucets are often caused by the wear or dislodging of washers that prevent water from pushing its way through due to the buildup of water pressure in the faucet. If the problem has persisted for some time, you may have a damaged valve that requires replacement. While replacing a washer may seem simple, valve replacement can be more complex, and many homeowners won’t have the proper tools to complete the job.

A Slow Draining or Clogged Drain

If your water is not draining as fast as it should in your sink, tub, or toilet, or fails to drain at all, you are experiencing a partial or complete clog in your system. You can always use a plunger to try to fix it, which is good for dislodging a minor clog quickly, but most times, it will not remove it completely, and you may experience the same problem again as the clog moves further down the line.

When this occurs, you may be tempted to reach for a chemical drain cleaner, which can be ok for occasional use but can eventually cause damage to your pipes down the road. If you have a stubborn clog that won’t resolve or a consistently slow-draining one, you will need to contact a plumber so that they can go farther down the line and properly remove the clog once and for all.

Poor Water Pressure

When the water in your shower or sinks changes from a steady, forceful flow to a mediocre trickle, you likely have a problem with your water pressure. While a possible problem is a possible water main break in the main supply systems, it is more likely that you have a buildup of debris and sediment that has accumulated on the aerators of your faucet. This problem can be rectified by removing the shower and faucet heads, removing the debris. If you continue to experience poor water pressure after cleaning, then there is more likely a leak somewhere in the line, which can lead to major damage if not repaired and will require a professional plumber to fix.

Leaking Pipes

Pipe leaks require professional leak detection inspections via video or snake camera by a licensed master plumber. The odds are if you find a small leak in your home, a larger leak could be occurring farther down the line. Leaky pipes not only result in higher than normal water bills but also can lead to water damage that can result in a significant cost to repair. Most likely, the pipes or joints in the pipe system will need to be repaired, and you will need a professional to detect all the leaks and properly repair your pipe system to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
